What an awesome example of an effective postcard piece.  Here’s why.  It’s personalized.  On the front is a picture of the sales rep.  She is smiling and attractive.  Next to the photo is a compelling headline that stands out and uses (you, your) language.  Her signature and position comes next followed by her phone number in large print, a clear call to action.

Now comes the best part.  On the reverse is a simple hand written message.  Again it’s very personalized and friendly.

It was enough to make me want to call her the second I got back from the mailbox, and I don’t even need a direct mailing at the moment.  Maybe she should give me a free mailing campaign for promoting her like this!

Just think even though I probably won’t be ordering from her anytime soon, she made a lasting  impression, even to the point that I would create this blog entry.  Now her message will continue to be propagated, this time online.
